What is the minimum quantity order on plastic carrier bags?
This varies based on what products you order. For example, custom carrier bags can start from as little as 1000 MOQ/Units. Our plastic carrier bag products also start from as little as 1000 units.
What environmentally friendly plastic carrier bag options do you offer?
The majority of our plastic carrier bags are bag tax exempt when you order from Elliott Packaging. We can offer 100% eco-friendly plastic carrier bags which are either biodegradable or made from 100% recycled material.
Other plastic carrier bags are manufactured using low density polythene (LDPE), this type of material strong durable reusable plastic which makes our products waterproof. We can also produce custom carrier bags using MDPE on request.
How long does it take for my printed carrier bags to be printed?
Our lead times do vary depending on how busy we are, but we tend deliver printed carrier bags of lead times of 3-4 weeks. Subject to stock and artwork approval, we will aim to deliver all our eco friendly packaging products as quickly as possible.
What are printing plates and why do I need them?
Thinking of adding printing to your plastic carrier bags or custom carrier bags? Elliott Packaging use printing plates to print on your bags.
We outsource our printing plates from trusted printing plate makers. You will need to purchase your printing plates with your first order. If your artwork is the same on future orders, you will not need to purchase these again and will speed up the process of returning printed mailing bags orders.
Can I get a printed sample of my plastic carrier bags before I place my order?
Sadly, this is not available.
The manufacturing process of custom carrier bags does not allow us to set up the machines to print just one plastic carrier bag. We can however send samples of our recent work. We can offer visual mock-ups online. As standard procedure, our plate makers send PDF printing proofs which show, colours sizes and positioning. These proofs need to be signed off before we proceed to make any mailing bags products
Elliott Packaging can also offer a ‘cromalin’ a cromalin is a print off of your PDF proof on film which will give you a very good vision of the finished product.
What if I want to change my artwork in a few months?
Thinking of changing your printing artwork? This is a common question when purchasing custom carrier bags because retailers and businesses will often run a promotional offer or changing marketing branding several times throughout the year.
If you want to change your artwork you will need new printing plates. If it’s a small change to the design such as an address, we may be able to change this using a ‘slug insert’.
What are pantone colours?
This is a popular question asked by our customers when creating custom carrier bags!
Pantone is a standardized colour matching system which uses a numbering system to identify colour shades. When you create your artwork, you will need to choose your pantone colours. Pantone colours can be found on the Pantone Website.
If you want to change your artwork you will need new printing plates. If it’s a small change to the design such as an address, we may be able to change this using a ‘slug insert’.
What is a process print?
A process print is a print technique which uses 4 standard colours (CMYK) to create a full spectrum of colours. CMYK stands for cyan magenta yellow and black.
What does spot colour mean?
A spot colour is any colour which is generated using one ink with no shades.
