The move to more eco-friendly packaging is underway.
In 2025, packaging is expected to be more sustainable and circular, with a focus on reducing single-use packaging and increasing recycling. The UK Plastics Pact aims to reduce unnecessary plastic, simplify packaging design and scale up reuse and refill systems whilst also making recycling more readily available and more accessible to the general public.
Many of the UK’s largest food companies like Nestle, Unilever and Mars are totally committed to using 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by the end of 2025.
Packaging when based on a linear system can create major environmental challenges but a circular, low carbon economy of packaging has enormous benefits, especially to our planet.
Elliott Packaging are working closely with its customer base to help eliminate packaging that’s not needed but to instead innovate and design better and cleaner packaging that can be safely reused, recycled or composted, and to ensure that its packaging material it produces stays in the economy and does not become waste or pollution.
Our company is striving to become the most eco-friendly packaging company of its kind and we would love to assist you with your business’ packaging requirements. Find out more!
