A fast growing online fashion retailer has partnered with Elliott Packaging to develop an environmentally friendly co-extruded mailing bag that falls in line with their sustainable clothing range. In recent times there has been a move across industry to recycle and re-use and this new grade of completely recycled polythene film offers the end user a product that has had a previous life and can be recycled again and again.
Elliott Packaging were commissioned to come up with an environmentally friendly film grade that falls in line with what the retailer offers the market place, a stylish yet sustainable clothing range that ticks every single eco-friendly box. Its customers are very conscious of the environment and Elliott Packaging are able to offer a complete range of both eco-friendly polythene mailing bags together with completely compostable paper mailing bags in either single or two ply sustainable kraft paper.
The recycled (co-extruded) mailing bags are manufactured with two adhesive strips (for returns) and also feature a unique QR code that once scanned will allow customers to arrange a return. This printed code removes the need for a paper label which means the bags remain contamination-free, this makes recycling a much easier process.
Director Nick Elliott said:
“We are finding new ways to make our films and papers even more environmentally friendly, there is a massive demand now for quality films that not only have had a previous life but can be re-used and re-cycled again. There has been a shift with consumers now wanting a circular economy and we are proud to be at the forefront of being able to offer exactly what the market wants and at affordable prices..”
